I met the Johnson family last year when I was just starting out my photography journey. I remember Tiffany calling me and asking me if I would take on a family of 9 and I smiled BIG and was so excited. We met, I captured her beautiful family and we had the best time. I was ecstatic when she contacted me again for a session this year. There is no bigger compliment for a photographer than to have clients come back again, and I was thrilled.
We decided to meet up in downtown Nashville. As I was sitting near the fountain I remember looking up and seeing the smiles and faces of the kids as they were walking up the stairs. It took me a minute to take them all in. One has new braces, another now had glasses, some had grown a few feet and some looked exactly the same.
I took a moment to take them all in, and to see how much they had grown and changed in just a year.
There is something about this family that reminds me of my own family growing up. I am the baby of 6 kids and I am really close to not only my siblings but my parents. Unless you grow up in a big family you will never understand how amazing it is. There is nothing like it.
The best part of this session, the secret moments I caught between siblings and these two amazing people they call there parents. God has blessed them with a beautiful and special family and I am honored to now know them.
